The Stage Designs of Karel Blakeley at Le Moyne College
February 1 – February 29
Join us on Friday, February 2, at 3:30pm for the opening reception.
Karel Blakeley, longtime resident scene designer at Le Moyne, has assembled an array of his stage set designs at the College. This retrospective of his theatre design work includes photos, drawings and research images that explain his design process, as well as the rationale for the look of the productions on display in the gallery.
The exhibit will run from February 1 – February 29. It is free and open to the public during regular library hours. For more information visit or call (315) 445-4333.
Pet therapy, provided by Pet Partners of Central New York, is being offered at the library throughout the fall semester. Stop by the library to play with a pup! Sessions will be held in the library atrium (or just outside the Library entrance if the weather allows).
Join us on Thursday, January 18, at 3:30pm for the opening reception. Carol Adamec is an award-winning sculptor who works in steel, copper, bronze and brass. In short, Adamec has fun playing with different metals. Her pieces are inspired by the things she loves, for example, being in nature. Adamec’s work evokes calm and hope. She aims for her pieces to inspire others to take the time to “stop and smell the roses,” and to think about those things in their own lives that bring them joy.
The exhibit will run from January 4 – January 28. It is free and open to the public during regular library hours. For more information visit or call (315) 445-4333.
